Great headshot session this morning with Maya Parson. She's a blogger at Cultured Grub and editor of Edible Michiana. I love how these came out.

Sometimes you get a really meaningful session, and this was one of those. Nieve has been Mindi's dog since her 11th birthday. Recently they found out that Nieve has cancer and that she doesn't have a lot of time left. It was important to them to get some final photos, and I was honored to do it. Godspeed Nieve.
Did headshots and promo work for River Oaks OB/GYN of Elkhart last week.
A few quick photos for the Kosciusko County Visitors Bureau.
A film shoot with Miss Central Indiana, Gracie Lyons.
Birdsell Mansion is a beautiful old space that is in the process of being reclaimed for artists and community. The ideas and installations in the mansion are fascinating to me. I decided to bring my old Hasselblad and photograph a few of the artists involved in the house that inspired the project. We set up in the middle of winter with very little heat, and my subjects were gracious as we shot and discussed their art.
This isn't the final step in this process! I'm working hard to learn darkroom printing, and my goal is to print these photos and create a small exhibition! There is something totally unique about seeing photos in a larger size on the wall. The detail and the richness is beautiful, and I can't wait to invite you to check them out.
www.IgnitionMusic.net is such a great place to see a show. I had fun shooting this with Tri-X film pushed to 1600 in shooting and development. I used to have a hard time seeing how film shooters got the photos they did with what seemed like a more limited medium, but film is surprisingly flexible with some experience. Self-developed, self-scanned.
The last wedding of 2014! it was a grey day, but a beautiful wedding, and I loved working with Sarah and John. Wish you guys the best and thanks for making us feel like part of the family :-).
